  • About the Artist

  • Charleston's harbor presents a great escape for anyone of any age to kick back and catch a sea breeze, observe sailing vessels, or be entertained by resident dolphins. This is known as the "Lowcountry" - a wonderful venue for photographers and artists alike. My dream in becoming a serious artist became a reality after moving into the Lowcountry several years ago.

No formal art background, but there seems to be a steady stream of talent running through my family's roots, and I must admit I am merely an off-shoot from its origin. As a child I "took pictures" and drew my friends portraits and painted animals. Today I still paint using acrylics, but my passion has grown for digital photography. Favorite subjects are animals, water and landscapes, and architectural closeups. I am staff photographer for a historic house which tends to keep me alert in researching new creative angles.

My work is seen in local galleries and special art exhibitions. I am exhibiting member in two artist organizations and I enjoy volunteering for local theater events and historic societies.
